Did an Asteroid Kill the Dinosaurs?
This short reviews the evidence behind the familiar “asteroid killed the dinosaurs” story, then argues new research suggests the die-off happened far faster than commonly pictured — potentially within hours rather than a slow, sunlight-blocked decline. It walks through what’s actually been found at the K-Pg boundary worldwide (tiny glass spherules from molten rock) and at Tanis, North Dakota, where fossil fish were buried with spherules trapped in their gills beneath a layer of microscopic dust. The video draws a line between that observational evidence and the historical-science interpretation built on top of it — the standard model proposes a massive volume of atmospheric dust that could have first trapped heat from returning impact debris (a lethal heat pulse and wildfires) before then blocking sunlight and cooling the planet.
From there, the video argues the same physical evidence fits at least as well inside a global-flood framework: multiple asteroid impacts during the flood could produce the same spherules, heat, and atmospheric dust, while the flood’s torrential rainfall would explain less wildfire evidence than the secular heat-pulse model predicts, and the catastrophically buried Tanis fish — spherules and all — match a water-driven burial event. In this view, most dinosaurs died in the flood, a few kinds survived aboard Noah’s Ark, and post-flood volcanic and atmospheric dust (also implicated in the ice age) shaped the dramatically changed world those survivors faced afterward.
